The Cleavers are redefining "rock & roll " with their letter-perfect renditions of songs from the 1960's and 1970's. This is the music you grew up with!  From the Beatles, Temptations and Beach Boys, to Three Dog Night, The Doobie Brothers and Eagles, audiences know these songs by heart.  And maybe that's why so many audiences have taken The Cleavers to heart.

They create a party atmosphere where you and your guests will dance and sing along to every song!  Music brings people together, and the familiar classic rock of The Cleavers is guaranteed to bring magic and excitement to your next event.  Just listen to the music!

Rave Reviews...

You could gather almost every "name" band of the 60's and 70's

(if they still exist), put them under one roof, and then ask them to play only their hits -- or you could spend a couple of wondrously nostalgic hours with The Cleavers.

Their instrumentation is so true to the original versions that you won't believe you're not listening to a recording.  Their vocal renditions so closely mimic the original artists and their harmony that if you close your eyes and drift away, just a bit, you'll swear you're at Chicago's Auditorium Theater during a rock concert 25 years ago.  They're like a musical time machine, and all they do is make you smile.

It was a terrific party!  People were dancing from the first note until the end.  Our club manager said, "We are definitely using them again."  The Cleavers were the most appropriate band for our event.

We've been listening to pop/rock music for over 40 years.  We heard all The Cleavers' songs when they were "new" (in fact, we own most of them).  We never thought we would hear re-creations that we thought were as good as the originals.  We were wrong.  The Cleavers are fantastic!

We couldn't believe how close to the original records The Cleavers sounded.  It was like really having The Turtles, The Eagles, Three Dog Night and a dozen other groups on stage all night.  Awesome!!!

The Cleavers are a talented group of musicians who put on a great show.  We have a diverse membership here at Sand Creek Country Club and The Cleavers always play the "right tunes!"  After the first performance we had many requests to have The Cleavers return.

Dick Eastman – Perhaps The Cleavers’ authentic sound derives fro the fact that they’re playing the music they grew up with.  Indeed as a songwriter for MCA Music during the 1980’s, lead vocalist/guitarist Dick Eastman wrote tunes that were recorded by one of the biggest bands of the Sixties…The Monkees!  In addition to The Monkees, Dick’s songs (many written with legendary songwriter Bobby Hart) have been recorded by artists such as Sugarloaf, The New Edition, Ides of March and Robbie Nevil.  In 1987, “Donimoes,” a song Dick co-wrote with Bobby Hart and Robbie Nevil, reached #14 on the Billboard charts.

Bobby Diamond (a.k.a. Bobby D.) – Simply one of the finest guitar players in the city of Chicago.  Thousands have marveled at Bobby D.’s guitar work, as he has played with diverse artists such as Corky Siegle, Dr. John and Spencer Davis.  In The Cleavers, Bobby D. does more than duplicate the sound of the original artists.  His brilliant guitar and excellent lead vocal work seem to lift the music to even higher levels!

Mike Kroell and Dave Leeds – Behind every great dance band is a powerful rhythm section.  In The Cleavers, Mike Kroell (drums) and Dave Leeds (bass) are the driving force behind this dancin’ machine.  But that’s not all.  While Dave’s harmonies are a key ingredient behind The Cleavers’ unique for-part vocal sound.  Mike does double –duty on keyboards for a number of the hits.  And the beat goes on!

Woody Johnson – His soulful lead vocals and outstanding guitar work would b enough for any band to hope for, but Woody’s got another trick up his sleeve.  Close your eyes and you’d think The Cleavers had hired a Memphis horn section.  Open them and you’d see Woody playing his “I Can’t Believe It’s Not a Horn Section” guitar synthesizer.  That’s entertainment!
